Most interesting Dispatches from Iraq
I just stumbled across this, Dispatches from Iraq, a project by the Columbia Journalism Review - an excellent insider journal for reporters and editors. I've seen a bunch of Iraq-related blogs and found most of them rather tedious or poorly written. But this is fascinating, in part because this guy is an excellent and engaging writer, and in part because it sheds light on the process of covering the Iraq war. He's got a lovely, jaded - but not snarky or overly opinioned - view that reminds me somewhat of the bemused worldview in MASH. I'm going to keep an eye on it.
