Tasting Beer in the Future

Believe it or not, I actually managed to use this phrase in perfectly normal conversation recently. And it suddenly occurred to me that "Tasting Beer in the Future" would be an outrageously good name for an album or a novel.

I'd totally buy something named that.

You need to meet my friends Amanda and Leon -- other beer people. Seriously.

And there's your band name. best Casey Kasem voice: "That was Other Beer People, coming in at number 10 with the title track to their latest hit album, Tasting Beer In The Future!"

See, now I just need to get some talent and I can make all this happen.

Do you play bass?

Yeah, I know, I asked already. And I'm gonna KEEP ASKING.

I could learn. I am mediocre playing six strings - perhaps I would be more successful with only 4.

There's no reason not to try. Look at it like this: NO ONE ON EARTH knows how to play bass like you. You need to learn how to do that.

If it helps, look at it like that.

Hm, that was a good way of looking at it, at least until I realized that it is equally true to say something like "nobody on earth has feet that smell exactly like yours," which really doesn't help at all.
